The Battle of the Big Horn - 2021 Ram 1500 vs 2020 Version

The Battle of the Big Horn - 2021 Ram 1500 vs 2020 Version

The Ram 1500 is widely considered the best full-size pickup truck available today. It not only offers performance and capability, but it also leads the class in comfort and convenience. It appeals to drivers who need a work vehicle for hauling and towing, and it appeals to drivers who want a truck for driving kids around on weekdays and completing house projects on the weekends.

Both the 2021 and 2020 models of the Ram 1500 offers the Big Horn trim level. One of the lower-priced model configurations, the Big Horn has wide appeal because it adds a few additional features that drivers want without increasing the price beyond what drivers expect to pay for a brand-new full-size pickup truck.

2021 Ram 1500 Big Horn

The 2021 Ram 1500 was reconfigured to better compete with full-size truck rivals such as the new 2021 Ford F-150, but it ended up completely transforming the class. The upgraded half-ton Ram featured sleeker bodywork, a bigger cabin environment, and lighter bodyweight. The old big-rig design was a thing of the past--the Ram 1500 was now the full-size pickup truck of the future.

The updated Big Horn model comes with 18-inch aluminum wheels, a chrome bumper and grille, a cloth bench seat, carpet floor covering, Uconnect 3 multimedia centre with 5-inch touchscreen, 3.5-inch electronic vehicle information centre, Bluetooth, and remote start. Additional technology and safety features are available as optional, add-on packages to all specific models.

2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn

After the 2019 redesign, Ram did not update the Big Horn model much for 2020. The optional EcoDiesel V6 engine received improvements that allowed it to become more efficient and deliver more horsepower. In addition, the black-trimmed Night Edition became available once again for Big Horn models. This upgrades the Big Horn's looks with black wheels, black badging, and other darkened exterior details that offer a sleeker and more sinister look.

2020 vs 2019 Which is Better?

Overall, there are not many differences between the 2021 and 2020 models of the Ram 1500 Big Horn. The latest Ram 1500 Big Horn is the best model to pick if drivers want the diesel engine or the Night Edition appearance package; otherwise, they are very similar but a slight upgrade from the previous year.
