What’s New for 2023
The base model will likely start at about $36,000, and the 2023 update comes with a few changes. You can now expect heated seats to come standard for all models of the Durango, where it was an optional add-on previously. Also, Dodge has added Frostbite, Red Oxide, Night Moves, and Triple Nickel as new colour options on the different trims.
The most exciting update is the revival of the SRT Hellcat engine. This legendary engine can go from 0 to 95 km/h in just 3.5 seconds. You’ll get 710 hp, making the 2023 Durango anything but your average family car.
Features and Specs
There are forward collision warnings, blind-spot monitoring, and adaptive cruise control.
Performance and Towing Capacity
The SRT Hellcat is a 6.2-litre supercharged V-8 engine that provides 645 lb-ft of torque. And it also has good fuel efficiency, as you can expect to get about 19 L per 100 km in the city and 13 L per 100 km on the open road.
If you’re looking for a more economical model, the Pentastar trim comes with a 3.6-litre V-6 engine, which offers 293 hp and gets 13 L per 100 km in the city. Plus, you can get from 0 to 95 km/h in 7.6 seconds, which is still impressive for a three-row SUV.
The Durango is great if you’re looking for a car with towing capability. You can tow up to 3,900 kg with the SRT Hellcat engine or about 2,800 kg with the Pentastar.
Technology and Infotainment
The Durango comes with a Uconnect 4C interface with a 21 cm display. It works well with both Apple and Android devices, with 12v charging ports in all the passenger seats. It also has an upgraded Harman Kardon audio system, providing excellent sound.
Models and Price
Official pricing has yet to be available on the models, but you can expect to pay around $92,780 for the standard SRT Hellcat trim. This is the most expensive model, with the Pentastar base model likely starting at $36,000.
